Do I need to bring money?

Once you are inside all rides, entertainers, face painting, animal farm, and fairy floss are FREE however there will also be a few side show games, food & drink as well as show bags and market stalls at an additional cost if you choose to purchase or participate.

What food & drink will be available?

There will be a selection of food to cater for most appetites from gourmet burgers & Chips to Wraps and salads plus many of the crowd favorites including hot cinnamon donuts, dagwood dogs and the coffee van. Patrons are entitled to free fairy floss.

Is there wheelchair access?

There will be wheel chair access to the venue and disabled toilets on site. Please note that some attractions may not be suitable for disabled children however we will try our best to accommodate all needs. Adults with a companion card are permitted free with their paying child.

Do you accept Companion Cards?

Yes we do. The companion card must be presented by the companion at the gate along with the paying patron they are accompanying.

Will there be lines for the rides?

We have capped the amount of tickets sold to each session to avoid over crowding so that you can make the most of your time at the event. We anticipate the wait time for most rides to be minimal and no longer than two ride cycles at the most. Extra rides, staffing and queue system will be provided to help with any issues.

What about Parking?

There is plenty of parking at the showground through Gate 8 on Ashton Ave. Please note that parking is charged at $5 per car by the Claremont showground.

What about public transport?

The Train is the best option for families attending the Kids Big Carnival. Please use the Loch Street train station which stops just before the showground. It is just a short walk from Loch street station to the Kids Big Carnival via Gate 10 heading towards the Big Ferris Wheel with a short walk to side show alley where you will find the Kids Big Carnival. The Lock Street station is along the Fremantle – Perth Train line. * Please note the train WILL NOT stop at the “showgrounds station”

Is there an ATM on site?

An ATM will be on site next to the information booth. Many of the food outlets and box office have eftpos facilities available also

Is smoking allowed?

The Kids Big Carnival is a smoke-free event

Can I buy tickets at the door?

We recommend pre purchasing your tickets online now to secure your preferred day and session time as each session has only a limited amount of tickets available. There will be very limited door sales available 10mins prior to each session at a higher rate unless sold out prior. Our last event was sold out.

Can my child go on his/her own to the event?

All children need to be accompanied by a paying adult however 1 adult may accompany up to 4 children. Some activities may require parental supervision.

Can I bring my own Food & Drink?

Yes, However Alcohol is not permitted.

Can everyone ride?

Please be aware that not all rides will be suitable for all children as some rides do have height and weight restriction for your safety. We have tried to choose rides and activities that will be suitable to the majority of patrons. Rides are not suitable for children under the age of 2 years. Parents are allowed to ride with their kids but please note that not all rides are suitable for adults.

What if it is raining?

The Kids Big Carnival will have a giant Big Top for shelter however some of the event is also outdoors. Most rides and activities are still able to operate in the wet weather . The event will go ahead rain hail or shine and no refunds will be given due to poor weather.

Are Prams and strollers allowed?

Yes they most certainly are

My Child is 2 or under do I still need a ticket?

Kids under the age of 2 are permitted to the event free of charge with a paying adult however you must book an “adult + baby” ticket when purchasing. You will need to provide proof of age for any children entering on this type of ticket.

What happens if I lose my Ticket or haven’t received it?

What if I am unable to print my ticket?

We do prefer patrons to bring a printed copy of your ticket for faster entry. If for some reason you are unable to print your ticket then we will be able to scan your ticket barcode through your smart phone screen but please do have this ready at the gate.
